THAT all items for consideration BE APPROVED: 4.1 Identification of Tasks and Report Back Dates (Chapter 15), 2023-480 15.2.35 Every Task Force, at its first meeting shall: b. identify specific tasks and report back dates in order to complete its mandate within the term identified by Council, a copy of which shall be appended to each Task Force agenda and updated to reflect status of identified tasks. Recommendation A. THAT Staff Report titled “Committee Review Task Force” BE RECEIVED; and B. THAT Staff BE DIRECTED to: i. provide a list of statutory vs. non-statutory committees; and ii. provide a list of non-active committees as defined by Procedural By-Law; and iii. provide a list of the frequency of meetings held for active committees; and iv. consult members of SLT and Chairs of Task Forces/Advisory Committees in determining the status of mandate completion and their alignment with Council Priorities; and v. consult comparator municipalities regarding their Task Force/Advisory Committee structures; and C. THAT Staff BE DIRECTED to REPORT BACK to the task force with a fulsome review containing the items listed above of all task forces, committees and boards and recommendations in Q1 of 2024.
