Brantford Heritage Committee

THAT the request made under Section 42 of the Ontario Heritage Act to alter a designated property at 167 Brant Avenue, in accordance with the details described in Application HA-01-19, BE APPROVED.

THAT the request made under Section 42 of the Ontario Heritage Act to alter a designated property at 98 Lorne Crescent (174-178 Brant Avenue), in accordance with the details described in Application HA-02- 19, BE APPROVED.

a. THAT the St. Jude’s Anglican Church Plaque Inventory Report 5 BE RECEIVED; and b. THAT a copy of the Report BE FORWARDED to Andrew Neill Construction Inc. (ANC) for consideration.

THAT the mandate for the Heritage Estates Sub-Committee, attached hereto and marked as Appendix A, BE APPROVED.

WHEREAS the property municipally known 40 Richmond Street has cultural heritage value or interest; AND WHEREAS the property is not currently afforded any protections through designation or otherwise; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Staff BE REQUESTED to undertake research and prepare a report to determine whether the property at 40 Richmond Street merits designation under the Ontario Heritage Act and report back by July 30, 2019. Councillor McCreary spoke to the Resolution and proposed that the date of July 30, 2019 be added to the resolution.

WHEREAS the property municipally known 5 Wadsworth Street has cultural heritage value or interest; AND WHEREAS the property is not currently afforded any protections through designation or otherwise; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Staff BE REQUESTED to undertake research and prepare a report to determine whether the property 5 Wadsworth Street merits designation under the Ontario Heritage Act and report back by July 30, 2019.

THAT Sarah Clarke BE APPOINTED to serve on the Places of Worship Sub Committee.
