THAT the acquisition amount be FUNDED from Water Reserve RF542; and C. THAT City Council APPROVE an option to purchase agreement with “Mattamy”, wherein the City will agree to sell, in future, approximately 4 acres of land being part of Lots 34 & 35, C. 1, (being part of the lands known as the “Spierenburg Farm”), the exact location and size of which will be determined once the Block Planning Process is complete, for a sale price of $600,000 per acre (or approximately $2.4 million); and D. THAT the proceeds of the sale BE DIRECTED to the City of Brantford Capital Funding Envelope Reserve (RF0556); and E. THAT the City Clerk BE DIRECTED to place the Agreement of Purchase and Sale, which shall include the said option to purchase agreement, between The Corporation of the City of Brantford and Mattamy on the Signing By-law for execution by the Mayor and City Clerk.
