THAT Clause B of Item 5.1 BE AMENDED to include adjustments 1 to 3 as identified in Section 9.4 – Future Considerations in report 2021-598: 1. Fee schedule maximums should increase by 5% to provide flexibility for additional staffing, facility or other costs associated with the provision of 3 cultural end of life services to ensure the Funeral Provider is compensated appropriately. 2. Reasonable purchase or contribution by the family of items to personalize a loved one’s funeral including urns, newspaper obituaries and flowers in addition to funeral maximums without jeopardizing the status of the Assisted Funeral or Service Agreement should be permitted. 3. Requests for weekend burials, which incur an additional cost, should be approved at the discretion of City staff. AMENDMENT
