Brantford Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation Board of Directors

THAT Report 2024-35 Brantford Municipal Non Profit Housing Corporation Third Quarter Report (July - September 2023) BE RECEIVED; and THAT the 2024 Operating and Capital Budgets for the BMNP, and proposed expenditures therein, included in this report as Appendices D and E respectively BE APPROVED; and THAT the Board of Directors of the Brantford Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation DIRECT staff to enter into two (2) lease agreements with the City of Brantford for portions of the Richard Beckett Building, as follows: For the use of approximately 18,174 square feet for a three-year term commencing January 1, 2024 up to and including December 31, 2027 at a nominal rate of $1.00 per year. The City of Brantford, as Tenant, would be responsible for all utility and property tax charges where applicable; and For the use of approximately 8,000 square feet for a three-year term commencing January 1, 2024 up to and including December 31, 2027, paying market rent of $17.70 payable per square foot for the first year ($141,600 per annum); $18.05 per square foot for the second year ($144,400 per annum); and, $18.41 per square foot for the third year ($147,280 per annum). The City of Brantford, as Tenant, would be responsible for all utility and property tax charges where applicable.
